After our initial meeting, you will have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

We really hope you chose HB Associates as the right accountants for you.

Once you have made the decision to appoint HB Associates as your accountants, you will need to notify your current accountant (if you have one!) of your intention to move.

Next we suggest that you arrange with your former accountant a suitable time to implement the handover.

Ideally, this should be at the end of a VAT quarter, payroll run or year end to ensure a smooth transition.

You will need to settle any outstanding fees with your previous accountant.

Once you have notified your previous accountant, we will send them our professional clearance letter.

This letter will ask them to give us professional clearance to take on the role as your new accountants.

It will be at this stage that we will ask them for all your previous accounting records. This gives us the information required to continue with your affairs.

We will then issue to you our letter of engagement.

This will set out the terms of our engagement and the services we will be providing to you.

No work is able to be started until you have agreed to these terms and we have received back the signed copy of the engagement letter.

Lastly, we will also ask you to provide identification to satisfy Money Laundering Regulations.
